Thousand Oaks Edges Oaks Christian in Overtime Thriller

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. — Thousand Oaks boys basketball picked up one of its biggest wins of the league season Friday night, defeating Oaks Christian 55-52 in overtime in a Marmonte League matchup at Oaks Christian.
The Lancers entered the game looking to answer after dropping the first meeting between the two teams earlier in league play. This time, Thousand Oaks found a way to close out a tight rivalry game on the road, making the key plays late to hand the Lions a narrow overtime loss.
The game stayed close throughout, with both teams trading runs and defensive stops. Oaks Christian had already shown it could beat Thousand Oaks earlier in the season, but the Lancers responded with a tougher, more composed performance in the rematch.
