WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Foothill Technology captured the CIF Southern Section Division 7 boys volleyball championship with a 3-0 sweep over Oakwood, securing the first CIF title in program history.

The Dragons entered the final with a chance to finish one of the strongest postseason runs in school history, and they delivered under pressure. Foothill Tech controlled key stretches of the match, stayed composed in long rallies and found ways to close out sets against an Oakwood team playing on its home floor.
Foothill Tech’s win completed a championship run for a program that had built momentum throughout the playoffs. The Dragons were listed by CIF-SS as the Division 7 champion, and the school’s student publication reported that the title was the first CIF championship for the boys volleyball program.
The final also showed Foothill Tech’s balance. The Dragons needed clean passing, strong serving and steady defensive play to keep Oakwood from gaining rhythm. In a championship match, small details mattered, and Foothill Tech was able to win enough of those moments to take the match in straight sets.

For Oakwood, reaching the final marked a strong postseason run, but Foothill Tech’s consistency proved to be the difference. The Dragons handled the pressure of the road environment and finished the night with a section championship.
