LOS ANGELES, Calif. — When LAFC took the field at BMO Stadium against Houston Dynamo FC, one of the biggest names on the pitch was still Son Heung-min.

The South Korean forward has brought major attention to LAFC since joining the Black & Gold. With his experience, speed, and finishing ability, Son gives LAFC a dangerous option in the attack and a player who can change the game in one moment.

Against Houston, Son stayed active in the final third, looking to connect with teammates, find space behind defenders, and create chances for LAFC. Even though the match ended in a difficult 4-1 loss, his movement and presence continued to draw attention from Houston’s defense.

One of the biggest parts of Son’s impact is the pressure he puts on opponents. Defenders have to stay aware of his runs, his quick touches, and his ability to finish from dangerous areas. That attention can open space for other LAFC attackers, even when Son does not score.

For LAFC, Son is more than just a star name. He brings leadership, international experience, and global attention to the club. As the season continues, the Black & Gold will look to regroup and build momentum, with Son expected to remain one of the most important pieces of their attack.
