Los Angeles, Calif. — Oregon’s Sunday at Easton Stadium ended in a tough 11–3 loss to No. 5 UCLA, but the score did not erase what the Ducks had already proved that weekend. No. 11 Oregon entered the finale with the series already secured after a huge 13–11 win the day before, marking another major statement against one of the nation’s best programs.

UCLA jumped ahead early with an eight-run lead through two innings, but Oregon did not fold. The Ducks answered in the third, using an RBI single from Amari Harper, a sacrifice fly from Stefini Ma’ake, and an RBI single from Rylee McCoy to put three runs on the board. Oregon finished with six hits and continued to battle, even as UCLA’s power offense pulled away late.

Although Sunday went to the Bruins, the weekend still showed Oregon’s toughness, fight, and postseason potential. With the Ducks locked into the No. 2 seed for the Big Ten Tournament, this team still looks ready for a deeper run.
